The Automobili Pininfarina B95, the world’s first electric hyper Barchetta, has been honoured by respected media outlet CarDesign Spain with the ‘Best Sport Car Design’ award.
The judging panel, a specialised jury of independent automotive design experts, commented: ”This vehicle impressed us with its pure lines with sophisticated details to create a design that is both exciting and balanced. The execution of the B95 highlights Automobili Pininfarina's mastery of creating cars that showcase design and innovation, achieving a unique visual and emotional experience.”
The latest example of the hyper barchetta, the B95 Gotham, was unveiled in a blaze of publicity at Monterey Car Week in California during August. Since then, it has been on a tour of the brand’s local retail partner network, delighting showroom visitors in Los Gatos, Newport Beach and Beverly Hills. It will visit a Las Vegas luxury event and a retail partner in Florida in the coming weeks.
The B95 Gotham is the first physical car from the collaboration between Automobili Pininfarina, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) and Relevance International. This unique ‘one-of-one’ car is inspired by the luxury lifestyle of billionaire Bruce Wayne, the civilian persona of DC superhero Batman. Automobili Pininfarina’s Design team have imagined what the visionary technology entrepreneur and philanthropist would expect from a car if he was the client.
Collecting the trophy was Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer of Automobili Pininfarina, who attended a special VIP ceremony in Singapore to receive the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2024 for the ground-breaking PURA Vision. This concept embodies the company’s PURA design philosophy, transforming the DNA of iconic models from Pininfarina SpA's past to define the future.
Dave Amantea commented: “These few weeks have been incredible for Automobili Pininfarina! Receiving two such prestigious honours and recognition for our cars is an amazing honour. These accolades are testament to our talented team, whose passion and creativity are shaping vehicles that not only push the boundaries of design and luxury but are also destined to become future collector’s items.”

Battista is the most powerful car ever designed and built in Italy and it delivers a level of performance that is unachievable today in any road-legal sports car featuring internal combustion engine technology. Faster than a current Formula 1 race car in its 0 -100 km/h sub-two second sprint, and with 1,900 hp and 2,340 Nm torque on tap, the Battista combines extreme engineering and technology in a zero emissions package. Battista’s 120 kWh battery provides power to four electric motors – one at each wheel – with a combined WLTP range of up to 476 km (U.S. combined EPA: 300 miles) on a single charge. No more than 150 examples of Battista will be individually hand-crafted at the atelier in Cambiano, Italy.
